At exactly 5:31 PM, President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at the Nnmadi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, on June 19, 2016, after spending 13 days in the United Kingdom.

Recently, the president departed Abuja for the British capital, London, on June 6, for medical check-up(ear, nose and throat). The president was examined and treated by his personal physician and an ENT specialist in Abuja, but both doctors recommended further check-up abroad ‘purely as a precaution’.

Initially the trip was planned as a 10-day vacation. The medical check-up with an ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist was scheduled for the president. However, the duration of Buhari’s stay was unexpectedly prolonged.

The president was received by Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state; members of the Federal Executive Council, top government officials, federal lawmakers and service chiefs among others. See Images

The Nigerian leader had a number of meetings and discussions while on holiday. Buhari met the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu, the prominent Yoruba monarch Oba Sikiru Adetona and the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby.
